Help Using earphones with the device's own microphone

I have the original samsung earphones but for some reason the microphone (in the earbuds) seems faulty.
I want to know if there is a way to have the earphones connected to the device and use the device's own microphone instead of the earphones mic simultaneously.

Use a pair of earphones that don't include a mic. Frankly the supplied earphones are very low quality, so you won't need to spend very much to get equivalent quality without the mic (or a few $/£/€ more will get a mic and at leas equal quality).
