Using fi permanently abroad

I chatted with the fi support yesterday and the guy says yes don't worry you can use our sim how long you like. 3 years in Australia 2 in Germany no problem

Surely the speed depends on your local connection rather than Fi.

I've never felt the need to credit my service provider when I get a good connection when travelling.
