Help Using Internet While in Phone Call problems.

Just_Jim

Lurker
First off thank you for any help provided for starters.

My problem is I used to be able to surf and use anything related to the internet while in a phone call being hooked to my home wifi.

For some reason this has stopped after the last update, I can actually see the wifi icon disappear as I answer a call now.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Does anyone know how to fix this without rooting or will this be addressed in the next update.

Thanks, Jim

No issues for me. Make sure your settings haven't been changed to suspend/stop other activity when a call is received or in-progress.

As to not being able to get both working, they should both work - to some degree. The issue that causes problems is sound. For example if you're on Wifi watching a YouTube vid and a call comes through, the call will receive sound priority. Nothing you can do about that. Once you drop the call, the YouTube sound should resume. Works the same for 4G. If you're not attempting something that has two sources trying to use the single sound processor, all will be fine.

No its simple things like e-mail, weather, internet to look something up online while talking (research) It used to do it all the time no problem just out of the blue it stopped.
