Help Using my r800i in Korea.

Hello all. I have a Xperia Play r800i (I guess that classification is the European model? I don't see the i version talked about a lot online). I have moved to Korea and would like to start using it here. I assume if this is even possible, I will need to root it? Is it possible to root? I have followed a few online guides, and watched youtube videos, but have not been succesful in rooting it so far. It reacts differently than other r800 models I've seen being rooted. Does anyone know of a guide that's likely to work for the r800i and also not brick it? :D

Also, I hear Korea uses a different bandwidth antenna system to the rest of the world. How can I check if my phone is compatible with this, or has this feature set.

If I root my phone, will I be able to access the Playstation store? They've just released Silent Hill on it so I'm keen to play that :D

I think that in korea thay have r800i too. Cos r800a is america, at is at&t (usa), x is verizon (usa) so i must for the rest of world.

And i is the most talked version of play (next is x). Most of mods is for i.

U can always root. If u have versikn .42 and older u can easy do it with doomlord rootkit if newer (.62, .69) u need to downgrade or unlock bootloader. And root is no necessary and after it u shoul be able to do everything like before (eg. Store shpuld work)

Sent using r800i with DoomKernel v14 (460mHz/1.21gHz)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah the only reason I want to root it is so I can use it in Korea. How can I find out if the phone uses the same bandwidth and other related jiggery-pokery that is compatible with Korean telecom systems? They are quite different here (e.g. they don't even have 3G on devices like kindle here, just 4G).

Can anyone else find Silent Hill on the store? I can't seem to locate it. In fact the PS Store on my phone won't show me any content at all. Maybe it's not available in certain territories? How can I get around that?

I also have another problem. I have a 32GB card in my phone. But most of my music doesn't seem to like it. Most of my music plays in fast forward. Some works ok. All my music works fine on an 8GB card I have, but I would like to keep the higher capacity card tbh. Anything I can do to remedy this? Maybe use a different player to the stock one?
