Help Using T-Mobile SIM in Galaxy Tab?

I have a Samsung Note II on T-Mobile, which uses a micro-SIM card just as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 can use. If I put the SIM from my Note II into the tablet, would it be able to function as a phone for text/calls?
