Using Tasker to call via Google Voice

Is there any way to route specific phone numbers through Google Voice using Tasker? I can set up GV to always ask as the default, but I only have a couple of numbers that I need it for, so if I could simplify the process with Tasker that would be great.

Can't help you but I will say that I would love to know if this is possible. I would absolutely use it.

I don't know of a way to do this with Tasker, but I've been using Voice Choice for a few years to do it.

I checked it out, works great. I only have a couple of numbers in Canada I call with it, so I did the reverse listing. So basically, then, if I enable GV to make all calls, this app will abort that action to all numbers *not* on that list, right (which is pretty much everyone)?

I'm wondering if it's worth it to up to the pay version for SMS support. I don't have a text plan with AT&T, so I use GV for all texting. Does it allow the creation of a separate list of numbers for that?

If you are doing SMS and rooted I'd look at Google Voice SMS Integration. This will allow you to do SMS with Google Voice through the stock app.

Hmmm. Good to know. I'm not rooted as I never thought I had a real reason to mess with it. Perhaps I do after all. Thanks.
