Using Tasker to turn display off

I want to use the PowerDVD remote app when running PDVD on my HTPC, but cut back on some of the battery drain. The app keeps the phone from going into standby, which is fine, and the screen will dim, but I'd like the screen to go completely off when I put the phone face down.

I created a profile with 2 contexts - Application (PDVD remote) & Event (orientation, face down) - with a task to lower display brightness, set to 0.

The profile kicks in, but the screen doesn't go to black. It dims like it would do normally just before standby, but stays there. What am I missing?

Thanks, but I don't want to lock the screen, just turn it off, the way it does when you're on a call.

The app I mentioned can do both screen off and optionally lock it as well. I use it to just turn tje screen off. Works really well.
