Hi all. I've recently purchased a GNex (Samsung Galaxy Nexus), Verizon LTE branded. I plan on using the phone with PagePlus, and the guy that works at my retailer says he could flash the phone, but he's had problems in the past and sometimes can ONLY get talk and text to work. So, before taking it to him, I figured I'd talk to you guys and see what you know first.
I've seen quite a few people online with their GNex on PP, working with MMS and Data and everything else. Just because of that, I'm pretty sure it's possible to do with my phone as well. The phone has a clean ESN and is currently running ICS 4.0.4. Here's a few of my questions:
1.) Should I go ahead and put 4.1.1 on my phone before trying to flash it over to PP or after? Or does it matter?
2.) What program/programs are recommended for this? As I understand, CDMA tools won't work on this phone because it isn't Qualcomm.
3.) Any GOOD videos out there that layout the process? I'm extremely tech savvy, but I've been a Windows/Linux guy most my life, I just recently took the dive into Android devices and haven't ever flashed one.
I'm sure more questions will come, but for now that's the general idea - I've got a Sprint LG Marquee currently on PagePlus and I'd like to use my VZW LTE Samsung Galaxy instead. How can I do this myself? I trust myself with something I've never done more than I trust someone who's done it forever that I don't know. Thanks in advance guys!
