Using the SD Card

I am pretty sure the answer to this is yes (after looking at another thread on a different device), but it does not hurt to ask.

I have a Dell Streak 7 and no SD card installed yet. However, I might not even need it, since the only one I have right now is 16G.

But just in case - if I get a 32G card, I am hoping that it will be as easy to just copy the 16G card onto my computer, and then copy that information to my 32G card?

(I just did not know if the Android OS might put some type of files on there that might not get copied.)

Thanks!

Should be fine, you could always just put the new card in the device and format it before potting any files on it

Correct. Copy EVERYTHING from the old card to the computer. Then put the new card into the device, format it from menu-settings-sd and storage, then copy everything back.
