Using wired headset with Thunderbolt question.

Anyone know if a standard phone wired headset will work with the thunderbolt? I need a headset for extended sales calls where I need type during the call. Size is not an issue; just comfort and clarity.

Any idea if something like this would work?

You would need a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter like the one below:

Even with an adapter, don't count on wired headset mics and controls working without checking them out in advance. They are not nearly as universal as they used to be. That said, headsets that work with Blackberries tend to work with the ThunderBolt. Also, the ones that Verizon sells as comfortable with the ThunderBolt will be compatible.

I have Skullcandy FMJ and they work well. The phone button on them can end calls. I have never ahd a complaint ont eh other end, in fact I get complaints with out it. Best of all you can buy a disscontinued style on skullcandy's website for 40% off, and if somethign goes wrong the RMA proces will give you full retail towards more skull candy products.
