Root using wireless tether and battery overheats?

Is anyone else having this problem? i have it plugged in also but i wanna use wireless tethering without my battery overheating. Also will the phone automatically shutdown if my battery gets too hot?

I have this problem both when using wifi tethering and when using Google Navigation, both while charging the phone. You just have to make sure it's in a cool place (out of direct sunlight and inside in the air conditioning) and maybe has a breeze on it.

I Use a couple of Ice packs , the hard plastic liquid filled ones, One on top and one underneath. The ice packs will last about 8 hours before getting warm. And yes, a hot battery will cause shutdown/ slowdown. and freezup problems.
