Help V4.1.2 Problem - Unfortunately com.android.vending has stopped

Hoping to obtain some expertise as to why the above message constantly appears on my Galaxy S2 after downloading Version 4.1.2. I acknowledge the message via "OK" and the message disappears for a short time only to reappear some minutes later.

When I completed the download of 4.1.2, the phone worked fine. The above message occurred some time later for no apparent reason??

I have undertaken a Google search and a suggested fix is to clear Google Play Store Cache and data. However since the upgrade I no longer have Google Play.

Further I am not receiving Google Email on the phone, but can access on my laptop and Samsung Tablet.

I am hoping for a solution other than a factory re-set.

There is a newer version of the Google Play Store, v4.1.10, being rolled out at this very moment. You can download and install it manually from Phandroid...

Delete your Google account in Settings and re-boot your phone and re-enter your account details.

Deleting the Google Account, rebooting and reinstalling did the trick. That annoying message has gone.

Also thanks for the link to Google Play. now reinstalled.
