V40 hardware question

Doesn't the V40 already have the ability to flash the camera flash? Thought I saw that when I was going through the settings.

Might have to check out the missed call/SMS though. On my old phone, Textra had the ability to have a heads up notification on the lockscreen. Contacted them after I got the V40 because it was no longer available.
They said that it was lost in Android 8.

@PitCarver

Are you a chronic pain patient like me or just use recreational pharmaceuticals for fun? I use the same medicine in larger doses. Been at it for 20 years. Sorry for you.

I saw that too but couldn't figure out what it really did.

Feel for you too...
Recreation implies fun; definitely isn't fun.
Due to a kidney scare a couple years ago and had to stop taking 5 different meds.
The patches help keep the pain down to tolerable levels.

I recognized the med. I've got RSD. Been on fent for over 10 years. (20,000 micrograms) I feel your pain, literally. Lol Sounds like we have simliar tastes. If you ever need a sympathetic ear from one who understands, I can make my email and/or text available. Best wishes.

V20 second screen was different sort of. Since it was pre-notch- -it rode at the very top of the screen - above the normal screen. and the cameras and sensors were off to the LH side of the second screen and even with it. Thus you had a 160 x 900 or something screen that you could have always on. And it did a number of thngs - which are partially replicated by the floating bar.

Such as it swiped to - so you could have media controls on the second screen for say Spotify - while anything else was on your main screen, even locked and off. Or you coudl swipe to control toggles for wifi, flashlight,bluetooth, and something else. Then you could swipe again and go back to having time and day.

Lock the mobile and it would still be on but show time, date and notifications. always.

I know it wasn't popular and it was pissed on by many of the reviewers - so it's a shame LG bent to pressures and removed it. I don't even use the floating bar, not really sure I like it. But I do like the idea of AOD - it just needs a bit more features/options.
