Valentines Day plans ruined

So my birthday just happens to be on valentines day. I had planned to take the wife out for a simple evening and some flowers. When I got home from work however, everything fell apart.

They made a family gathering at home for me lol, valentines birthday, what a pain haha :D

Haha yea, i thought it was kind of funny how i had a sort of surprise and im the one that ended up being surprised :p

What did you expect???
 
Guess you thought wine and dine the wife. Then alone time with the wife at home. I see the wife had other plans lol

The worse ;) I've had my share of bad V-days. I thought you were gonna say "...so I got off work early and when I got home my best friend was there with my wife in the bedroom..." so when I read your post it made me smile :) keep in mind I also am dealing with a wife who has been less than honest so my views on marriage currently is very low ;) glad to see it is working out with you :D

I think I may have to agree on this, but then again I'm a firm believer in Valentine's Day being a huge hoax. We shouldn't be bound to showing our affection towards a loved one only once per year, this should be a year round thing!

Hahahahahahahaha XD o man i can see a post like that showing up in here.. Sorry to hear that, i haven't experienced anything like that yet..... So far so good :)

Yesterday the local Dekelong supermarket was selling single red roses at 10RMB each.
Today the same red roses are 2RMB each.
Tomorrow they're in the garbage.

I feel your pain man that's the worst thing you could walk in on. Hope you kicked some ass his as well as hers.

+1 I don't want the guy to get me flowers or candy on just ONE day. I rather have him give me flowers on random days of the year. It'll make the flowers more special. For me, the best Valentine's day gift is a special home cooked dinner + personal massage from the guy :D
 
I do show my affection throughout the year, in many ways. She stays all day with the kids so she gets at least one day a week off to do as she pleases and I take the kids. She seems to enjoy that a lot. She will always buy me fancy expensive coffee at random times as well, since I only buy the basic stuff. Valentines Day was supposed to be an excuse to get someone to take care of the kids for some peace, but that didn't work out :)
It was all good though, had some cake and some good food. Thanks for hearing me out guys, im glad I can share here.
