Help Validity of website

Dantehalo

Lurker
Hey guys,

I am here to ask about the validity of the website "samsung-updates.ru". I was looking for a way to root my phone and came upon this website. I'm not sure whether this site is a fraud or scam.

Can you guys help validify this site?

Thanks!

Hello!
While I cannot verify that site (appears to be Russian) what device are you trying to root?
Is that a rooting site or a firmware site for Samsung?

That's just giving server not found.

FYI .RU is Russia, so good luck!!

What Samsung have you actually got there, possibly AF has full and trusted rooting details for it, in the appropriate ATR forum.
Sorry, I forgot to add the "s" on updates. The link should direct you to an actual website now.

Well it's definitely not official Samsung, and I can't read Russian, as I said..good luck!! :thumbsupdroid:

There's our own AF "All Things Root" forums for many devices, lots of good information, and in English of course. :thumbsupdroid:

I am currently trying to root the Samsung Galaxy S7 (sm-g930T). All other sites have told me that this version is currently unrootable, so when I pondered onto this site, I thought that it was too good to be true, and so I am now speculative of this site.

AFAICT about the Russian site, it's a repo of ROMs. If you need Samsung ROMs, I'd trust something like http://www.sammobile.com/ a lot more.

BTW my neighbour, Tatiana has been trying to teach me some Russian, but it's hard work. :( And have been a good customer of Aeroflot for the last couple of years.
