Help Various HTC Desire Z problems - please help

Hi folks,

Increasingly, I'm feeling an urge to throttle my HTC Desire Z and replace it with a 10 year old Nokia. Can you help me? Here's the problems:

1. Exiting most apps leads to the HTC loading screen appearing. This is so annoying, it makes me avoid all apps. How can I resolve this bug?

2. When using the QWERTY keyboard, if I push "S" sometimes, it saves the text as a draft. Annoying. (Keyboard is a bit rubbish all around, I reckon. Nothing like quality of Nokia N900). Anyone heard of this bug?

I had the exact same problem with Sense crashing madly, every time I installed an app or so, especially since I updated to gingerbread.

Found a solution, so far so good (applied it yesterday).

First gain temp root (perm root not possible with gingerbread)
Then issue the command line :
echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >/data/local.prop
