Root Velocity 1.1 vs froyo 2.2.2

Oh the confusion.
I am running velocity 1

I got the notification that ther was an update to 222
Presumably I don't want it. How can I make it gow away. Just try to install it. It will fail because of amp ra right.

Then I should flash v 1.1
right.
Right now I am waiting for a ginger blue theme befor I do that because I like it a lot. But then I will do it.

Am I on the right track.

there's nothing 2.2.2 has that Velocity 1.1 doesn't. the fixes in 2.2.2 are included in Velocity 1.1

There's no need to wait for the update to fail, you can flash v1.1 whenever you are ready.

Just be sure to wipe all of your data before installing to avoid the MMS issue.
