Root [Verizon] 4.1.2 Wifi Tethering Not working

Im having a few problems with wifi tether. I use Wifi-Tether by Trev Mod and it has been working great until now. Im rooted and stock rom.

What is the correct setting (Wifi Tether by Trev Mod) for this app to work?

I have tried FoxFi too and nothing. So bottom line is ....how do I get my wifi tether to work?
 
I wonder if your network may have started blocking tethered devices? That's quite common. Apparently, the way around it is to have your PC browser 'pretend' to be a mobile browser.

If you search the forum there have been other threads that discuss this in detail with details of apps that will do the spoofing for you.
 
Well the thing is...it was working well before I upgraded my phone to 4.1.2.

Ok you said to search the forum but what is/are the keyword/s?
 
"Fail to activate hotspot: Your carrier has blocked WiFi mode in Jelly Bean (Android 4.1 and above) Please use USB Mode or Bluetooth mode instead." Thats what I get when I tried to
 
If you use Foxfi key (paid version) it works. I would like to find what settings Foxfi key is using. Foxfi key is locked so you cannot back it up so you can reinstall
