Help Verizon 4g reporting when no 4g?

I didn't see this posted. I don't think. But i've been noticing with my S3 will report 4g in areas where i know there is no 4g. When this happens either the internet is very slow or doesn't load any pages. Anyone else?

They may be testing 4g in those areas? Otherwise idk what it would be reading that for when no 4g is in the area.

I know I dont have 4g, but I have the 4g indicator by the signal bars. So far I've not seen a 3g icon at all. Has anyobeelse seen 3g?

I am in a 4g area and saw a 3g icon for about 30 seconds in my basement but it went right back to 4g. Try running a speed test see what you get. If you get 4g speeds they are testing 4g in your area.
