Root [Verizon] am I missing "home" on browser menu

hput3

Lurker
I've read a few things googling, that would indicate the menu on galaxy browser
(left soft key at bottom of unit) should contain a "home" item, probably the first item
on the menu... my menu begins with "new window" and has no "home" item.

Is that normal on note 2? If so, how does one tell the browser to return to home page.
Is there more than one way?

An example might be 'www.ebooks.com':

If I type 'www.ebooks.com' into the browser I'm rerouted to:

At that address I can find no possible way to login.

Can I force the browser to honor my choices? If not how am I to login to 'www.ebooks.com'?

Is there some other mechanism at play here?

Probably 'www.ebooks.com' recognizes your device as a mobile device and therefore loads the mobile version of their home page, 'www.ebooks.com/iphone/?'
If you go to the bottom of 'www.ebooks.com/iphone/?' there is a link to the "Full Site" which takes to the desktop version.
