Verizon and new 7.0 operating system status

I have an unlocked 6p, actually a replacement phone directly from google.
I have not yet received an update notice from google on the phone.
I am not likely to voluntarily update with the know battery drain issues on a percentage of users' 6p's.

I does the verizon sim have anything to do with the delay in the 7.o update?

Hey Bob, what is the last security update you received for your device (or what is your current Build number (Settings -> Phone status -> scroll to bottom to see Build number)?

I don't know the answer to your question if it's Verizon's involvement that is keeping you from getting Nougat (one of the reasons I'm with T-Mobile now), but you can always sideload the OTA or flash the factory image (although flashing the factory image requires unlocking your bootloader and wiping your device).

I, too, have an unlocked 6P on Verizon. I have received the update (last week some time) though my phone was registered with the beta program when I purchased it, so it already had 7 on it. The update brought it up to the September fix release.

I currently have NRD90T on my 6P but see that there is a NRD90U as a factory image posted HERE. ANybody know what the differences are between the 2 versions?

NRD90T is the first/base/initial release of 7.0.0 Nougat for the 6P.

NRD90U appears to be the next version with the September security patch included.

My update went from MTC20F (6.0.1) -> MTC20L (6.02) -> NRD90U, i.e., skipping NRD90T.

90U appears to have improved my battery life quite a bit, but also resolved an issue I was having with bluetooth under 90T.
