Verizon and the Superbowl.

I believe I read somewhere that verizon is not allowing the streaming of the superbowl because of some sort of broadcast rights or what not. So I was wondering if there was a way to stream the Superbowl on an android phone or through said android phone's hotspot on a laptop.

I'm sure if you use a 3rd party hotspot it's possible rather than using verizons hotspot.

I've heard Verizon has made it to where you can't use foxfi and other hotspot apps. Not sure about that though.

Pretty sure that is only at the stadium.

Yeah, they banned all streaming of the game while inside the stadium.

Super Bowl XLVIII, between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks, will be streamed by NFL.com and Fox Sports, but both of those sources will be blocked on the Wi-Fi and cellular networks at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey

Verizon set up the network at the stadium.

Unless something changed within the last 48 hours (since it was the last time i used foxfi for a hotspot) Foxfi still works for me. But i can easily hop on the hotspot deal for free but I have been lazy and have foxfi so I always tell myself why bother.
