Verizon App Manager

I just found a notification about the Verizon App Manager. I had no idea what it was so I Googled it. I didn't like what I read. I haven't read a lot yet, but I think it "suggests" apps to use and downloads them to your phone. I'm not 100% sure it does that, but the little I've read says it does. So I opted out and then disabled it until I have more time to get more information. I wanted to warn everyone to be careful before accepting it.
That's it.

curious as to what the notification said?

The one from OEM Developer

Had the Samsung version on my old S5. Easier to use than trying to disable apps through settings.

You disabled apps that I didn't know were on my phone. Lol I'm definitely downloading this app but how did you know which apps were safe to disable.
Thanks Pit.

The apps that show up in pink are considered to be bloatware, by the app. You will have the ability to disable all the pink labeled apps with I button.

Green apps are your user instead apps.

The app let's you disable black labeled apps, but with a warning that doing so may cause problems.

I didn't do anything in mass. I went app by app, keeping some of what was listed as bloat and disabling some of what the app listed as in the at-my-own-risk category.

It gives you full information on each app as well as a link to Google it to find out what it does.
