Root [Verizon] Best kernel for use with CM 10.2 (and a few other questions)

Been looking but I haven't found any definite reviews. What is the best kernel for battery life and performance (either at stock speeds or overclocked)?

I'm getting about 10 hours with moderate use right now. I'd like to get at least 16+.

Also, any value in keeping a antivirus (avast! atm). And should I upgrade my Lux Lite to Lux Pro (been hoping the price would drop.
 
Hmmmm I didn't know that cm aka cyanogen mod had different kernels to flash if u flash another kernel I think u would brick or super never ending bootloop
