Root [Verizon] Bootloader/root question

kirkinsd

Lurker
I apologize if this has been covered...
Before I go buy my Verizon S3 I want to make sure I'm okay -
I just want to root so that I can run ClockWork Mod and Titanium backup. Occasionaly I run other apps that require root.

Am I okay with the locked bootloader? I will not be running custom roms.

Is root alone all I need?

Thanks

Yes, you can run those two and other root apps just fine with a locked bootloader. Although the only current method of rooting is to load a rooted image with Odin. If you are comfortable with that you are golden.

Mine is rooted just as the above post suggested, and I use CWM and TIBU. Doin' fine! :D

The dev community is working on the locked bootloader issue.
