Root [Verizon] Bricked GS3

Ok, so you can call me stupid if you like but this is what happened. I was on a trip, my battery was diminishing very quickly, I had another kernel on a sd card, now I name the zip file what it is, for example it is a kernel so I named it kernel. Little did I know I had the wrong sd card in, it was the one I used for my buddies i9300 so I ended up flashing a kernel for a device other than my own, I rebooted to a bricked device, it was at this time I checked the sd card and realized what I had done. So I have tried numerous debrick image files and none of them work all the way, I have one that makes the device vibrate but does not let me get back into recovery or download mode. I was on 4.1.2 CM 11, if someone has some insight on how to fix this could you please help me.

So the 3 button combo will not allow you into recovery, nor download mode?

No, I just ordered a jig but I dont know when it will be here I just got it for the future, it seems like all I need is a valid debrick img for 4.1.2 because the phone is still based off that operating system if I am correct

What about the stock firmware from Sammobile?

then just re-root with Casual?

But how would I flash the firmware without being in download mode? The phone is not recognized in odin. I dont know how you make a debrick file but if I had the debrick file for this phone cm11 I think it would be operational again. There has to be some way to fix flashing a incorrect kernel

Well, if you were able to boot into recovery, you could flash a completely different rom or kernel, but you stated you could not do that, so that is out.:(

Also you said you could not boot into download mode and have a usb jig coming to force the device into download mode...when you do that, you could flash the firmware.

Other than that, I don't know of what else to do :o
If there is another way to debrick it, I'm not sure but I just thought of something...hang on ...:)

This will put you on 4.3 I think, so that may not be desirable..

Also, another debrick solution here will put you on 4.3...again, that may not be what you want:

The top one works I did it for a friend of mine, but that is what I tried immediately after this happened. It makes the phone show signs of life (vibrating when turning on) but still nothing on the screen, I then noticed that was if the bootloader got screwed up. Which mine didnt, I also read that a incorrect kernel is not supposed to brick you, only put you in a boot loop. I dont understand why this is happening and I cannot find anyone with a similar situation, I can go back to 4.4.2 using another motherboard until the jig arrives but I want my custom rom :(

I have a bricked GS3 myself. I ordered the jig and it didn't work for me. I was instructed to get the SD card and use the method of flashing that to the phone to get it back up and running. I watched several videos on how to debrick this phone with the jig and they all showed that it works. However, it won't work with mine which is strange. I only flashed the wrong file for s off. If I remember correctly. Anyways, I'm hopeful I can get back up and running soon. But no real rush as it's just a play toy. Stupid Samsung, I've bricked every single Samsung device I've tried to root and flash.

I have only had problems with this phone only. I have rooted and flashed roms on all my other devices with no problems at all, I just dont understand how a kernel could do this. Also maybe you have a bad jig. But I could only get one from china so im going to have to wait probably about 8-10 days to get it. My phone is running right now on my 4.4.2 motherboard but I want my CM 11 back :(

I ordered it on eBay from the only US seller that sells them that I could find. I didn't want to wait that long from China and, I've had problems in the past getting stuff from there. But I'll email the seller and let em know. Ugh.
