I have a widget on my old rooted Droid X that I would like to move to my shiny new unlocked and rooted Galaxy Nexus. The app/widget is called “Browser Launcher (Chrome).” The app has since been removed from the market. (copyright infringement no doubt)

The app is actually a small widget and replaces the traditional browser icon to give it more of a Chrome like look and feel. I cannot find this .apk anywhere on the web. Every link to it ends in something to the effect...“sorry has been removed” yada, yada, yada.

It can't be moved to the SD card even with the assistance of other root apps. I do see the folder where the files are located, but no .apk. I won't bore you guys with details on other methods I have tried. But does anyone know of a “work around”...so to speak? If anyone knows of a working link for download that would be great! Thanks in advance...

If you use a 3rd party launcher such as Nova or Apex you can change the browser icon to any image saved on your SD card.

There are tons of chrome icons here that you could use.
