Verizon cancels plans for Network Optimization

I'm truly shocked if this is legit. I haven't found a link straight from Verizon so until I do I won't put much stock into this:

I'm sure they're doing this because they've already come up with a better way to give the finger to their customers.
 
Unlimited plans are on their way out so such news wouldn't surprise me.


If you mean you can no longer get a UDP then yes. As far as completely getting rid of them, well that seems to be the only way. Now how they go about this could be challenging for them.
 
You're on thin ice Verizon. The day they get rid of my unlimited data or start throttling me, is the day i go to T-Mobile. I'm sure they've noticed how many customers they've lost to T-Mobile this year, and i'm sure they realize how much that number would jump if they went ahead with this network optimization plan.
