Root [Verizon] Cannot open Attachments

Hello:

I have a Samsung Note II on Verizon and I cannot open pictures that are sent to me in email whether it is attachments or imbedded pixs it will not open.

It will tell me to first download message then download attachment and all it says is winmail.dat and will not open.

What gives with that.

having the same problem. It seems that when sent from Outlook to the Note 2 all attachemnts are being converted to winmail.dat. There is a 3rd party conversion app to restore them, but awkward at best. Spoke with someone at level 2 at Samsung yesterday and they claimed its not their problem...
