Root [Verizon] cant root with 4.4.2!!

i just downgraded back to 4.4.2, from 4.4.4, all to get away from lollipop. of course i got stuck in a boot loop and ended up having to do a factory reset and now, towelroot says the phone isn't supported!! i tried towelpieroot but it doesn't do anything but hang up??? what gives, was this a huge waiste of time or what?

also just tried kingo root, wont work. verizon 900V. why in the world will nothing work?

I don't see the md5 file specific to my phone, sm-g900v. Im about to give up. This is the second time I've ended up having to wipe the phone in order to keep kit Kat and it's a huge pain. The first time I did 4.4.4 and learned that towelroot didn't work for that, so 45 days or so later, I got the 5.0 update again. Tried going back to 4.4.2 and now nothing works there either.

That sucks. I used TiBu to freeze Samsung Update app. So I'm still blissfully rooted on 4.4.2, and have never been prompted to update.

Don't use cfroot will trip Knox
Try Odin ngc kernel there's a forum on this @ xda for Verizon gs5
