Root [Verizon] Can't write Recovery Partition

So I had everything working perfect. Rooted unlocked and recovery.

I backed up along the steps with cwm touch 6 something.

I changed to a lower version of cwm using Ez recovery. Then I backed up again.

Then I tried to recover a image from my previous s3 that had to be sent back because a audio channel went out.

Then the phone bricked out. I may have flashed a backup from a incorrect version, I hate cwm backup naming convention; still my bad. I was able to find a stock odin image THANK GOD. So at least my phone works now.

Now I can't reflash recovery and I think its the partition table. Oh and now I can't reroot and I just keep triggering the custom binary Download counter.

I'm in the I.T feild and I need root for many things. Oh and I used odin for everything.

Hey there Liquid! Welcome to AF!!

I did have a question for you as far as the "stock Odin Image"---what exactly was it? Did it unroot you to a fresh, out-of-the-box state?

i.e. what does your phone info say? menu/settings/about phone.

I flashed KIES_HOME_I535VRBMB1_861013_REV09_user_low_ship_NOWIPE.tar.md5
to get it running again.

It's android 4.1.2
Baseband I535VRBMB1
Build number jz054k.i535VRBMB1
Hardware version I535.10

Yea it unrooted me and I can't rewrite the recovery image; it says its going to recovery and it reboots then it delays then eventually it just boots into android.

I can't reflash CWM. Odin says it passed but I can't get into recovery and I haven't been able to fix it and I have tried multiple odin recovery images. I had it working until I flashed something from a different version of recovery.

Did u have auto reboot checked in odin ?
If so uncheck if, let it PASS and then battery pull. then you can use the key combo and it'll work

This is what I have been trying.

rbheromax Flash a pit with the stock tar and then use an app to flash recovery.
-Do you have a favorite?

Well I dont have an S3 but look for "d2( att vzw spr whichever is Urs I guess vzw) Odin tar pit xda" and see what u get

I got it. I tried D2VZW-CASUAL-R634bBeansTown106 yesterday and it said my device was wrong and it wasn't. I don't recall if kies was running but I did shut kies down during later testing for sure. I tried the same file today and BAM there's my friendly recovery. Then I installed root. Now I just need to find a sexy rom and I'm set again. Thanks for everyone's help.

I don't want to do it with my phone because this has already eaten enough time but a good test would be having kies on and trying to run the JAR file and see if the exploit is successful.
