Root [Verizon] Data drops when using Foxfi Hotspot!!?

I have rooted my S3 and run 4.1.1, but occasionally when I'm using Foxfi hotspot my 4G LTE/3G data will drop, like my phone doesn't have data. I turn off the hotspot and my phone has it again. It usually only happens at late at night and in the mornings. Anybody know any solutions or alternative working hotspot apps?

yep, I just updated to 4.1.1 this weekend and foxfi is now a piece of garbage. They are recommending downloading pdanet+

so I searched around and I guess there is no way to downgrade back to ICS with a macbook pro since Odin doesn't work on mac. Is that correct?

ok I can't guarantee that this completely solves the problem but I have definitely noticed that when I launch the hotspot with the fattin toggle and connect with a moblie device first (tablet, another phone etc) the data doesn't seem to drop and then I can connect with my laptop and tether very nicely. But when I connect with my laptop FIRST is when I seem to get the dropped data problem. hope this helps.
