Root Verizon Forced An Update - Keeps Freezing

Here's the deal:
I rooted my phone back in December, following these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931096

I still have the ClockWork Mod Recovery on my phone.

Last night, Verizon forced an update to my phone while I was asleep. I woke up and my screen was frozen with the orange exclamation point in a white triangle next to the Android logo.

I pulled the battery out for a hard reset, rebooted my phone, and about 3 seconds after it fully booted, it powered itself down again to force-install the update. It downloaded about 15% before getting stuck on the exclamation point screen again.

Tried rebooting my phone again and the same cycle happened.

How can I fix this? Every time I reboot my phone, it shuts itself down for the update again and gets stuck.

Please help!

I have been having the same problem. It seems the update and clockwork mod are not compatible. Until clockwork mod comes out with a specific update for this problem I doubt there is anything we can do about it. I found you can temporarily fix this by first removing your battery for a minute. Put it back and hold down the volume down and power buttons until you come to your clockwork mod screen. Find the factory reset option- I think its in the reboot or recovery menu(sorry my memory is a bit off lol). Follow prompts to factory reset. When your phone turns back on go into your settings and search for an update. When it finds the update deny it.

You can try wiping the cache partition, this is where the ota is stored.

Afterward, look for and freeze a file called "updater". That should stop the nagging until devs cook up a Rom incorporating the update :)
