So after a few hurdles I managed to unlock and root my Gnex (no custom ROM yet). A big THANK YOU you to all that helped in my time of need.

I've since downloaded GoLauncher and have been enjoying the ability to change the name of icons as well as each icon image.

One thing I can't figure out is...is there a repository somewhere to get individual icons? I want to be able to select each icon image individually. I don't know if that's possible with free icon packs....don't they replace all of your icons with some theme? I was able to find some individual icons on Google images (.jpg and .png files), but the edges of the images are not rounded and look funny on my phone.

Not quite sure how it works with GoLauncher as I use Nova, but the process should be similar. All you need to do is go to the market and download any icon packs that say they are compatible with GoLauncher (or whatever launcher you are using). Try searching for "golauncher icon pack" or something along those lines and you'll probably get 100+, free and paid. Then when you go to change your icons you should have the option to choose from your recently downloaded icon pack(s). Most of them have tons of icons to suit your needs, various color options etc.

I personally recommend Metrostation icon pack, its great the icons are very clean and there are a TON of them, you can customize the color of each icon, really fun to play with... just my recommendation, see what works for you.

download any golauncher compatible icon pack from the market, then when you go to edit your icons you should have the option to chose from your downloaded icon pack(s). I recommend metrostation... great, clean icons, customizable colors, and a HUGE selection.
