I used to have Verizon but left, kids wanted smartphones & we only had unlimited so we got them Verizon phones & did the BYOP with Straight Talk & they worked great. Both of theirs were CDMA using Verizon towers & got 3G, so we took our phones over, mine was a Commando 4g & hers was a Droid X2 & they worked getting 3g. I started having issues with my Commando & her Droid X2 did also, so I sold my Commando & got us both Verizon Galaxy S3's since ST said they would work fine,on their website compatibility & phone support, which both were wrong. I finally got someone there that told me that Verizon 4g phones were not compatible & was why we can't get data, said even if flashed it will not work. We want data back since that is the whole reason for having a smartphone, otherwise it is just a stupidphone. Have been looking at other providers but none support Verizon LTE phones, some sites say our S3's will work but don't want to go through the hassle of switching& end up like I am at ST with no data(well I get .08mbps but I call that useless). Was seeing what others are using with a Verizon Galaxy S3, I don't have to have 4g, would be nice but will be happy if I could get 3g. What are my options to use my phones? ST says to get rid of them & get AT&T versions, would like to use Verizon towers as we get better coverage, T-Mobile & Sprint are out of the question here,Verizon is best,US Cellular next, then AT&T last as far as coverage.
