Help Verizon GNEX Issues??

BigJS4

Newbie
Hey,

I got my Verizon GNeX this morning and I'm seeing some issues.

1) when using voicemail on speaker phone, it would not accept my passcode. Then when it went into help me reset it, it did not register any tones. I ended called back with speaker off, and it worked fine.

2) signal strength sucks, I am comparing to my other verizon work phone, and my other personal cell, all verizon.

3) *228 does not work???

Im keeping it and working out these bugs, but I wanted to know if anyone has had any issues today?

And yes, I did get the 4.0.2 update.

Thanks for the help.

1) Seems to be fine after the update. If it isn't working on yours, you may want to return it.

2)Signal strength can't really be compared to other devices. Antennas are different for starters, but also some devices report incorrectly. The general rule of thumb is, if you have a signal and it's working...it doesn't really matter. If calls are breaking up, then there is an issue.

3)Just a tip, *228 does not work on 4g phones. If you are trying to do a PRL/Roaming update or whatever it's referred to as, you simply power down for a few minutes and then power back on. AT least that is how it has been on previous 4gLTE devices.
