this thread is about my overall experience with Verizon, but some have become so nervous about the fact that their phone may be f****d up, they have resorted to attacks.
Some people can't just swallow their pride and say, "Thanks for info man!".

I really had higher expectations for this forum, which is why I guess its not the most popular Android forum.
 
I have more to back up my claim than do the "wannabe experts". I have a fried Inc., as in concrete proof.

Here's the deal: for all of those who were cool and appreciated my sharing of the experience, I hope your phones ok. For the a holes who go around this forum attacking those trying to help, I hope your Inc. gives you everlasting frustration.

Look man, nobody is really trying to attack you, but Micro USB is to Micro USB is to Micro USB. Long gone are the days of proprietary chargers that won't work from phone to phone.

Your personal experience is no more valid than my own. We both use BlackBerry chargers, your phone fried, mine did not. That is my "concrete proof" that BlackBerry chargers are not the issue.

Verizon proves themselves to be lying to you right on their website:

I originally posted to be helpful, but now i could give a FFL about anyone else's phone, whether it fries or not. Just because yours hasnt' fried yet doesn't mean it never will. Electronics are unpredictable.

You're exactly right, they are unpredictable. That doesn't make arbitrarily blaming the charger right. I don't want to see a bunch of people read this and go out and waste money on a new charger because they're fearful that the same one they already have will fry their phone. Again, I'm just trying to show people that the same charger that works for the BlackBerry is compatible with the Droid Incredible. Again, Verizon themselves is clearly displaying it on their website.
 
Eipee73... that is exactly why I have made repeated attempts at refuting his claim. He just goes from thread to thread spouting the same story.

Yes I know, I saw the previous thread and "you don't know what's on the other side" or whatever. I'm not looking for any mysterious forum threats...just trying to prove the same point that most of you know.

Fact of the matter is 3 major components could have been the issue, the main board, the battery, or the charger. Arbitrarily choosing the charger as the one at fault is asinine. I really hope people aren't running out and spending $30 bucks a pop on a charger that is exactly what they have sitting at home.

What is with your personal attack and talk of morals? You have no idea who that guy is and you have no idea who I am. I could be the second coming or the devil himself, it really doesn't matter. All I know is that I'm telling you pure fact, morals and personal attacks aside.

I'm sorry to see that you are so very unwilling to accept the fact that you might just be wrong...

$30 extra bucks to save the hassle of waiting on a backordered phone, avoiding the agony of a fried phone and possibly voiding your warranty. Yeah, complete waste of money. WABOSAs!!

I just feel bad for the poor guy who reads this troll's post, believes it, and goes and forks out money when he doesn't have to.
 
half tempted to contact my buddy who is an expert in this stuff just to shove some crap down some throats here, but I've probably wasted enough time trying to help others. This forum is full of turds.

Yes, please call up your completely anonymous "expert." Maybe he can learn us turds some stuff huh? OR I will continue to use my BlackBerry charger against the will of the almighty droid_head and it will CONTINUE to work properly because it's the exact same thing as what you'd pick up at Verizon. You realize a Verizon hires high school kids and those with less than a college degree to work in-store right? They aren't exactly your local IT group.

You lack concrete proof.What you have is merely supposition and logical fallacy. Perhaps what's irking people is the immaturity and intellectual dishonesty that you've portrayed in your posts. Concrete proof would be conclusively identifying the mechanism of your phone's failure via verifying opens or shorts and the affected components.

As for "wannabe experts," I would tend toward an electrical engineer, who has received considerable formal education, and an aircraft electrical systems craftsman, whose knowledge ensures the safety of numerous persons and multi-million dollar aircraft, serve as more authoritative sources than someone with no education or experience regarding the subject matter.

Of course, it's become evident early on that no amount of sound reasoning can dissuade you from your dissonance. Now, it's just a matter of minimizing the FUD.

I just lost my Inc and not even close to the anger level you guys are on.

Just do this, run outside and yell "I'm an angry gay techno nerd and proud of it". You'll probably feel much better. then call your parents.

Haha once again with the personal attacks. What we are doing sir is proving you wrong and instead of replying in some logical sense, you choose to personally attack the people that are stating that you are incorrect. For as much as you have told people to swallow their pride and admit wrong perhaps you should do the same. Verizon was completely right in saying that using a BlackBerry charger was an acceptable use and even if the Verizon tech could smell burnt plastic and see flames shooting out of the phone he cannot prove that the charger was the issue.

You obviously don't know what anger looks like when I have called the past 2 posters "turds" as you so intelligently put it.

Now while I will not run outside, and I will not call my parents, because I'm not a little kid, I will comply with you.

If you read my thread dedicated to the battery issue and the onslaught of attack and paranoid anger, you'd see that i did not establish the one here. Blame yourself.

You do realize that they test these things right? Comparing an electronics industry standard to a volatile market is probably the most ridiculous comparison you could have come up with.

Think I'll stick around. And my 20 other profiles will too. Would be crazy if you logged on and the forum one day and it was flooded with like 10,000 threads devoted to blackberry chargers frying Inc's. :cool:
