Root Verizon HotSpot Issue

OK so I have .595 rooted and deodexed. I need to tether so I have signed up for Verizon 3g HotSpot service ... problem ... I can't get it to work.

I select the 3g app icon and select Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot ... after a 10 seconds or so I get the response "No Network Available".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Never heard that error, maybe you're hitting the wrong thing? It sounds like your phone is LOOKING for a network, when it should be creating one.

Just to be clear, you're clicking the pre-installed app that says "3G Mobile Hotspot", right? Should open up a menu where you can click "Mobile Wi-fi hotspot", which you can check, and will open up settings to create a network.

You can always try getting another hotspot app from the market. Do a search and you'll be able to find a good one.

Thanks for the reply! Thought I had tried everything but looks like I needed a reboot. Seems to be working fine now?!

One thing I seem to have learned, but not often applied, if something doesn't work reboot.
