Accessories Verizon/HTC Incredible car dock out?

Wasn't aware it was out but I went to my store today to get screen protectors and saw it on display, asked the girl, and she brought one out to me. Was only $18 dollars (get a company discount.) I haven't messed with it yet but it seems pretty stable.

Anyone else get one?

thats actually been out for a little while now. i've been debating on getting one. use it for a bit and give us an honest review eh? and what's the deal with that white part at the bottom? Is that the suction cup?
 
There is no white thing on the real item, let me take a picture of it out of its box.

Oh, yeah, its actually more grey lol, but its just part of the suction cup mechanism.

I'll use it in a few days when I do a 2 hour trip and test it out, give a review. I'll use it periodically for the next few days too but the trip I take will be full GPS/Nav/etc.

E: Yes, the pictures are taken by my Incredible. :p

Hmm, what's with all the complaints about there not being a car dock for the Incredible then? I just assumed there wasn't one available. Especially seeing as some people have made their own. :confused:
 
Dude, hide your visa. I could easily pick that out with Photoshop CS2.

I've been thinking about it too. I'd want to figure out a way to hardwire in a charger, me thinks.
 
It is an empty visa gift card, have at it lol. I saw it before I took the picture, was too lazy to remove it.
 
That's the one I bought on release day. I love it and use it almost every day. The only thing I'm thinking of doing is super-gluing the removable "holster" into the mount. I don't ever take it out because it is outward facing and I have a Seidio Spring-Clip holster for outside the Jeep.
 
Looks like you could use it for a pretty slick desktop dock too. Thanks for the update that these are available.

You could use the sticky pad that you use for the dash of your car for a desk mount, but I'm not sure how it would stand up to use.
 
I picked up this doc earlier this week as well. The downside of the doc, the bracket covers the 3.5 jack.
Also, it will not work with a case. I have ghost armor on my incredible, the fit is good, but i am concerned that the dock may peel off the ghost armor on the edges with more use.

What cable are you using? My headphones and AUX cable for my car both fit perfectly with the dock on.
 
Isn't this the same dock that's been available from the very first day? I tried it but didn't like it as it was a bit too snug a fit for the phone. No room for a case at all.

We want something like the Moto Droids have, where you plug the charging cable into the dock and just snap the phone into it. Those also enable car dock mode. Which the Inc has, but no way to automatically enable it when it's mounted. :rolleyes:

Saw this yesterday on my friends x. I am so jealous of the quality of the Motorola accessories. The car mount from verizon blows. Got It yesterday and Its going back tomorrow.
 
I got it. I'm not impressed with it just because I can't use it with my case. If anyone wants it, PM me. I'll sell it to you. It does what it's supposed to do and is sturdy enough. Just doesn't work with my case.
 
Does anyone have the direct link on the verizon site to this dock? I've searched and can't find it. Here is the part# VZW6300MNT
