verizon ipad

Let the games begin. (Holy Benjamins, did you see the price?) If the Galaxy tabs and whatever else is coming in the Android world can't compete with the iPad on merit, then what was the point anyway. Hopefully, this makes everyone better, and lights a fire under the manufacturers to get some good stuff out sooner rather than later. Maybe it will help the pricepoint on the Android tab I would like to buy around Xmas time.
 
Apple knows that Android tablets/pads/booklet/whatever is coming. Now they're starting to sell the iPad across various channels (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.).
 
it tells me if you like android tabs your set. apple is overpriced so i think the android tabs will go for less which is great since i dont want apple anything.

ironically i am typing this on a mac (may last apple product that i will ever buy)
 
I like how they are selling the WiFi model for the same price Apple is selling the 3G model for. And you would need to carry around the MiFi adapter to connect on the go without WiFi. I'll wait for a good Android tablet...

But you're paying the same for less and you need to carry around an extra accessory.

Let me try to explain myself clearer:

I mean you're paying the price of the 3G model, but you're getting the WiFi model instead. and you need to carry around the MiFi adapter. With AT&T you could spend the same amount of money and not have to carry the extra accessory.

It might just be because I'll pay for convenience. :)

EDIT: I see what you're saying about using the MiFi fro other purposes which does make it better, but if I'm looking to just get an iPad, I just want an iPad lol
 
Haven't followed the iPad too closely, but does it even have a USB port?

EDIT: NM. Found the answer. Aarrgh.

Now... if the iPad could be used as a hotspot... that would be nice.

For me, it might be more convenient for me to carry the iPad and the MiFi. I might even ditch the smartphone and only pay for the data I use with a deal like that. The device is tiny and I would get a lot more use out of it than for just a 3g iPad.

I think I would like a Galaxy Tab a little better even though it isn't as polished as the iPad. I hope Verizon bundles that tablet with the device, too. I would rather do this, get a cheap phone and only pay for the data I use.

In the end I could save alot of money (I could save even more if I could get this deal on an android tablet.)

The month to month data plans are nice for me. I don't need to stream music. I find myself wanting to hurt the Pandora developers more often than not. Streaming large amounts of data isn't a must for me, I just might like it sometimes but I can get by on less than 5GB a month.
 
Is it me, or does this seem a little desperate on Apple's part?

I mean, just before Android tablets come to Verizon, they start this partnership with Verizon to get iPad's sold at Verizon?
