Root Verizon is blocking certain apps from updating

Just read this article. I know this is for tethering but it is Verizon getting there foot in the door and limiting our access to the market through the phone. Well, not "our" market but the rest of the android world.

Basically, it said "F U VZW - I'm rooted, I have custom recovery *and* I've pwned my BIONIC." Oh, an I use WiFi 802.11 N spec at home
