[Verizon] Is it possible to force Play Store auto-restore?

I feel like when changing versions (Android 4.0.x to 4.1.x to 4.2.x) doing a full clean install with Play Store restore is the best way to go, but I just went from 4.1.1 to 4.2.2 and Play Store restore isn't working. Any idea if it's possible to force it?

Or if not, is there any easier way to install all the apps? I foolishly didn't backup my TiBu backup either since I wanted to wipe the /0 file structure after I had gone from 4.2.1 to 4.1.1, and wanted a fresh go when I jumped to 4.2.2 today.

Yea I always do too, but usually I TiBu restore. Today I felt like since I was going from 4.1 to 4.2, that a full Play Store restore was necessary. Only it didn't do it lol

If you are talking about a "full Play Store" restore that happens automatically after a wipe and proper flash of a new ROM, well I haven't had that happen in a long, long time; both on this phone and the Motorola A855 "OG Droid". Which I think this is what you are actually talking about, however . . . .

Otherwise after doing the wipe and proper ROM install try opening Play Store, then selecting 'my apps', and go from there, they will usually show up. That it is usually somewhat 'better' and more reliable, especially when going from one Android version to another. I guess this is as close as it gets to "forciing Play Store Auto-Restore".

I have been pretty much using a combo of the above paragraph and MyBackupPro to restore my apps sans app data.

good luck

Actually I found that removing your Google account and then proceeding to add it again to your phone works as well. So if your apps don't start to auto restore and you want them to, simply go to Settings, Remove your Google account, and just add it back. Worked for me :)
Yep, that worked for me too! Thanks!
