I have a rooted Verizon Galaxy Nexus/Toro & I was wondering if I could make it work on Verizon's prepaid service. I figure 4g may not work, but I'll survive, I got a fast WiFi connect @home anyway but Is there a way to flash or something along those lines to vzw prepaid or straight talk even, anything!

The only way I know of uses ESN cloning which is illegal in the US. As such, we cannot give out information on this process here. If there is another method to do so that doesn't use that, then another member can feel free to add that.

Pretty sure you can't bring a device to its Prepaid service. If I'm wrong and you can bring your own device, I know that they most certainly do not offer LTE on Prepaid.

Wish I had better news.:(

As for VZW's, there are a bunch of smartphones you can bring to their prepaid. You're gonna pay for the data package on top of the regular prepaid costs, as a prepaid monthly+data. And last I knew, it was a 3G-only thing, and even then, there's only certain 3G devices that are "capable" of running on their pre-paid. The list might be larger than it was the last I knew the details, but unless something very recently changed, pretty sure LTE phones aren't capable, not even as "3G-only" speeds. Only way to know which you can use, would be to check their site or call CS.

Teddy I got a page plus # & min & a home CDMA I'd # how can I do the programming. I don't care if 4g or even data works for that matter I have a fast WiFi connection at home although I wouldn't complain if at least 3g worked. I just mainly want talk and text. Please help

Well, I've never done it, but I did a google search for 'how to manually program a samsung phone' and came up with a few hits. Here's one (not for the Gnex, but in my experience with Moto phones, it might work):

Android News: How to Manually Program the Samsung Continuum i400

It shouldn't hurt to try as if the number sequence doesn't work, you will not enter the secret menus. HOWEVER if you do get in and mess up, you could end up with a brick so be real careful!

Hopefully someone else will chime in with more knowledge.

good luck

There is a way to program the Galaxy Nexus, but I've never done it. A while ago I was researching it but I didn't save any links.
