Root [Verizon] Lg G2 verizon

Verizon blocks tethering at their end unless you're paying for it. Wifi tethering is easy - any tethering app at Play. USB (reverse) tethering (I assume you mean the internet signal is coming from a computer and you want to use it for the phone) has nothing to do with Verizon Wireless unless your computer is getting its internet connection through a Verizon dongle - instructions and software at How to Use PC Internet Connection on Android through USB

Hi I have Lg g2 verizon
I want to enable USB tethering and wifi tethering .
How to enable it ??? Please help me ??????
You will need to root, and most likely flash a custom ROM. The majority of the people trying to this on stock have been unsuccessful even with root type tethering apps like Wireless Tether, PDAnet, or FoxFi due to Verizon security measures built into the stock ROM.

FWIW, I am running Beanstalk 4.4.2 (Build 247) and both work fine with the built-in tethering.

By following this above steps the HotspotProvision.odex file is not their and error was occurred like unfortunately stopped ??
Now what I do??
How to back HotspotProvision.odex file in system/app folder ??
Please help me ?? Urgent ? Please ,........

The odex file isn't there because part of the instructs are to remove it right? All you end up with is the modded apk. If its not working, perhaps reboot and retry. If all else fails, the 14th post in that thread has the stock odex and apk you can download and replace into system/app.

Hi I check this but this is not needed because this files already in my lg g2 verizon ?
My device the HotspotProvision.odex is not their ?
But I got this from xda developer site but also error occurred is that
" unfortunately setting has stopped "

Original stock files here:

xda-developers - View Single Post - Mobile Hotspot modded to skip provisioning check (VZW)

If you have time, read through the entire thread from xda. Somebody also posted a flashable zip for this mod so you don't have to delete and switch the files and set permissions. Just noticed that while reading through it myself.

I can't understand what I do now ???

1.) Purchase Root Explorer from the Play Store. It's a file explorer that allows you to add/remove system files and set permissions.

2.) Using Root Explorer, remove the hacked provisioning apk that you supposedly added into /system/app. (the one from xda)

3.) Download the two files here... xda-developers - View Single Post - Mobile Hotspot modded to skip provisioning check (VZW)

4.) Again using Root Explorer, move both of the files from step 3 into /system/app. That should set everything back to a stock condition.

5.) Reboot phone

Those steps were to try and get you back to a stock arrangement with the stock provisioning apk and odex files so that you could eliminate whatever errors were happening.

If you are still having troubles, then I don't see how it's related to all this unless you still have the hacked apk installed along with the 2 stock files in which case you need to delete that. The hacked HotspotProvision.apk was 98 kb in size. The stock HotspotProvision.apk was 69 kb in size. Note that they are the same filename, so just make sure you don't have the larger apk, you DO have the smaller apk and you also have the stock HotspotProvision.odex both in /system/app.

Again, if all the above conditions have been met, then I don't know what else to tell you unless you have a nandroid backup that you can restore from recovery which was made prior to your beginning this procedure.

I think u r right because as u tell me I checked this by using root browser in system/app
The hotspot provision .apk is 69 kb in size
But problem is still there.
How can I restore this ? It is restored by factory reset or not?
