Help Verizon Location Agent after OTA update

I haven't had the bug, but I just checked and saw that I have always had VZ Location Service turned off. Seems to be the solution. With Google location services, who needs the VZ services anyway?

As for me, I unfroze it but it came back with a vengeance.

If it keeps up tomorrow and Sunday, I am rolling back to stock. Nothing in this OTA has really improved for me have to say.

The VLA issue is very weird. I have the app but it does not show in the battery stats and my battery is about the same. (4G battery hog) only thing i noticed about it was if i froze the app. i had issue connecting to the network. maybe just a fluke but weird non the less. I am glad mine is not running but i feel for you guys that are having the problem. maybe it is only affecting people in certain areas. what parts of the country are you guys having issues?
 
I'm not convince the tier 2 fellow gave the correct answer. I know plenty of folks with custom roms (and there fore no verizon apps) on non razr that never have an issue with reception (good tower). Also it does not seem to exist on the nexus (at least not yet).

The notifiication keeps popping up for me. I tried denying agreement etc as posted above, nothing works. I am rooted and have considered freezing it, but am afraid of the consequences. Really would like an answer to this. Its really annoying!
 
I did a factory reset two days ago and have not seen it pop up since. I did not accept the Verizon Locator services thing during set up, so perhaps this has something to do with it.
 
I've had the Verizon Location Agent frozen on both mine and my girlfriend's Razr since the day we got the update and have not had any issues.
 
I froze the service using Titanium Backup Pro, I have considerably more juice and seems to stabilize it a bit. It still has some quirks. The weird thing is that the update was unsupported on the RAZR yet they force you to install this service. I used to work Verizon's tech support from 2006-2010. You get everything through scripts basically. We were there mainly to confuse people out of tech support assistance. They will tell you anything and everything to not change your device. People with rooting and charging issues, I seriously doubt this update rendered your device useless. Rooting is constantly screwed up by even sometimes experienced developers/enthusiasts. Yes, I have done it as well but just reflashed.
