Root [Verizon] Looking for a working Screen Shot app

I have tried several Screen Shot apps (including Screen-Shot-It, which I use just fine on my Acer Iconia A500 tablet running Thor ICS) on my rooted stock GS3 and not found a single one that will work.

Either they take no picture at all, or else they yield a red and white mess of diagonal lines.

OK, I just found out about swiping the edge of my palm to do screen shots. I had not tried the gesture controls yet. So that works. :) I wonder why none of the apps work?

all you have to do is press the power button + home button simultaneously to take a screenshot. this is native functionality that you can do without installing an app. i don't use the palm swipe because i don't really feel like wiping my hand all over my pristine screen. :p

i disable all motion capabilities - i think they're all pretty gimmicky, tbh.

Thanks! I'll giver that a try. The edge-of-the-palm palm swipe works pretty well for me. I've got naturally dry hands (unfortunately) so for me smudges aren't much of an issue. In fact I usually have to wet my finger tip to get the displays on these touch screens to even sense I am there. :)

The swipe to take a screenshot thing on the GS3 is awesome, so easy and intuitive. And I don't know about you, but the edge of my palm isn't greasy at all!
