Root [Verizon] Need help stuck in fast boot mode on the lg g2

I have by mistake downloaded auto rec twice and ever since then my lg g2 have been stuck in fast boot mode. my lg g2 is from Verizon and it a vs980. I have been trying to get out of it for awhile so any help would be great thank you so much who ever helps me out.

Fastboot flash aboot, boot and laf partitions from HERE. Also fastboot flash twrp recovery img. That should restore download mode with the bailout plan of a working custom recovery if you have any problems. When done, unplug phone and long press power for no less than 15 seconds to power off. Once off, press and hold volume up while while plugging into pc to get download mode.

Once in download mode, use the instructs in the 2nd half of the OP HERE while using the 26a tot and lg flash dll from HERE as your source files. Last zip in that link is the 26a tot, unzip it to reveal the tot. The lg flash dll for the vs980 is the 4th file from the bottom.

If you don't already have fastboot set up on your machine, use our forum's mini sdk explained and linked at the bottom of THIS post.

If you have issues getting fastboot connectivity, download PDAnet to your machine. Don't even have to run it as it comes packaged with a standalone driver package which should auto apply when you connect your phone in fastboot mode. If necessary, reboot after PDAnet is on your machine while the phone is still plugged in and in fastboot mode and it should pick up the drivers upon reboot.

The problem is when I type the .img file fast boot says cannot load img or something like that will pdanet drivers fix that problem if its that problen

Start by typing fastboot devices. You should get a ? followed by the word fastboot. If that works then type fastboot reboot. If the phone reboots (likely back to fastboot screen) then you are ready to proceed. Yeah if you're having issues, the pdanet drivers should get you going.

ok so now every thing seemed to work fine flashing it now my phone does not seem it wants to come on

Hmm that's very strange. The fastboot reboot command is totally innocuous, should have just turned back on. If it won't go into download mode, disconnect from usb and try holding power for like 15-20 seconds. Then let off and once again try pressing and holding volume up while hooking back into usb.

Also watch windows device manager when hooking it back up and see if any new device populates when plugging it in.

Also just to be clear, did you already flash partitions? Or were you just trying to get fastboot working and testing the fastboot reboot command when it powered off like this? I wasn't sure from your earlier post.

I have already flashed the partitions but thats when everything went wrong lol and that is when i typed fastboot reboot to see if it would reboot

Did your file sizes match those listed on the codefire site? There must be a command error or incomplete files or something for this to fail.

yes it seems everything has matched up but quick update im not sure if this matters or not but when i have it hooked up to the computer and keep holding the power button the red light flashes about 5 times then goes out then does it over again is that telling me something?

Can't say I've seen that exact behavior but it almost sounds like a Qualcomm error code showing up on the LED perhaps but that's a guess. Frankly, this doesn't sound good. Not sure if there was a bad file transfer or what. But it sounds as though the bootloader flash at minimum may not have gone through properly, which is bad if that's what happened.

No device showing up in windows device manager? Nothing relating to qualcomm in particular?

oh i think just to be clear i have not even you the lg flash tool yet or anything to flash softwhere i just used the fastboot command to flash the aboot.img, boot.img, and laf.img. then after it said it finished all that up in cmd then i tried the fastboot reboot command. After that is when every thing stooped working and wont come back on i hope there is a easy way to fix that.

No, not really. Because it's looking to me like the bootloader did not flash correctly. As in hard bricked.
