Root [Verizon] Not sure if ROM or other Software Issue.

I rooted my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 over a month ago. I used Paranoid Android 3.15 and it worked wonderfully. Then, about three days ago, my keyboard was delayed about 1/4 second. Not bad, but noticeable. Then, two days ago, my phone's incoming calls were met with the message, "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." I cannot answer the call, and can see in the background who called me. The missed call doesn't pop up in my list.

I can call them back. The same message pops up, but if the other person picks up we can have a conversation just fine. The only issue is I cannot hang up, that person has to.

I then decided to update my gapps and ROM. I stupidly did the quick update, and ended up in a bootloop. I then did the proper thing and deletet cache, dalvik cache, /format system, then reinstalled. Made it past and everything worked great....except I got the same error message when I tried to call someone. And now it will not connect to 4G...but it will connect to 3G and wi-fi no problem. All my other apps are working fine.

So I did a factory reset. Still nothing. I removed the SIM card, turned on the phone without it, waited a minute, then turned it off, reinserted the SIM card, and turned it back on. Nothing.

I deleted the ROM and apps, redownloaded them, and then reinstalled them the safe way. Still getting the error.

What am I doing wrong? Should I flash a different ROM? Everything else on the phone is fine, except for the phone itself and 4G LTE. Should I unroot it and mail it back to Wirefly.com or Samsung themselves? Would warrenty cover this issue? I've had the phone since mid-March 2013.

I'm at my wits end. Perhaps I'm stupidly missing something.

Welcome Fiddledee!
Well, since you have the same issue on the same rom, even after a fresh flash, could it be carrier related?

Just for giggles, do a nandroid backup, and flash a TW rom such as Cleanrom.
See my sig. for a link, but it may be a carrier/tower issue?

The original keyboard issue may have been non related to the call/4g/4g issue ya know? :)

FIXED ON MY OWN SO FAR. Please don't delete thread, I will check back in 24 hours to confirm.

I flashed CyanogenMod 10.1, downloaded new Google apps, went through extensive wipes and deletes. IT WORKS!

Apparently my phone chose to be incompatible with Paranoid Android 3.60. I hope this is not temporary.

So it's been 24 hours. I have turned off the phone once, redowloaded most of my apps, and got things running smoothly on Cyanogen Mon.

I am baffled why Paranoid Android 3.60 had such compatibility issues with the phone. I really enjoyed some of the features, like pie and the new halo. I know I triple checked that I had the correct files for my phone and carrier. I downloaded and reclaimed after wiping numerous times, even redowloaded the bootloader and used the computer to flash one time. Oh well,

Quick question: is everyone generally happy with the included kernels? Any noticeable difference with a third party one?

There's always going to be bells and whistles in custom kernels that aren't in the stock ones that come with most ROMs.

With that said, the stock one is pretty solid, and actually outperforms some custom ones if you go by benchmarks (take that with a grain of salt)
