Root [Verizon] Notification Sounds

I have two sounds going off when I receive texts on my Samsung Galaxy 3. How can I get rid of the one which isn't even selected yet still chimes?
 
Do you have a second messaging app ? If so, just go into it's settings & disable the notifications or just uninstall the app. If you don't have a messaging app, go to settings/sounds/notifications & reset it to what u want.
