[Verizon] Please Help!! Dead Nexus!

I got my replacement gnex today and tested it for the day. All was well until a few minutes ago when my screen suddenly turned green with white lines running across. I couldnt do anything so i removed the battery after a few mins and put it back in. Now my phone wont even turn on. Please Help me!!! How can I get this thing to turn back on????

PLEASSSSEEEEE HELP!!!! I am unlocked and rooted so I cant just send the phone back without flashing back to stock
 
With it turned off battery in plug it in to charge and try to turn it on after a bit. I'm not quite sure how to troubleshoot this it sounds like you got a brick if you can't get it to turn on. Do you have a second battery you could try?

I don't have another battery, but I do have another gnex (they sent me a refurb and I didn't get a chance to send my original back yet). Anyways, the battery worked in the original phone (refurb still won't power on) so I don't think that could be it.

I also thunk its bricked. Literally nothing will come on...not even the charging animation. Should I try going into a store for a replacement? I mean, its rooted and all.
 
I cannot guarantee this, but if it is genuinely bricked I do not think the VZW people will be able to tell it is rooted (at least not through their standard diagnostics). Think about it...the evidence of root is on the flash memory and one of the things that is probably shot (corrupted/whatever) is that same memory. They will probably see that it does not turn on and then send it to be reflashed/fixed. And once it leaves the store to be fixed, chances anyone will call you on root even if they do find it are small to none from what I have read.

Now...you did knowingly void the warranty, so I would not go expecting too much...

Thanks. I have read the same on other forums also, so it looks promising. Thankfully though I finally got it to work! I kept the battery out overnight and put it back in the refurb this morning. I was finally able to turn it back on but it kept bootlooping. Anyways, I was able to flash stock, unroot, and lock. The phone is working okay now, and I'm currently running it as stock. I will probably call for a replacement again though as I don't want to take the chance of having this as a recurring issue (especially when I unlock again).
 
Yeah I would call and say it quit working for 12 hours and basically bricked and you want one that you don't have to worry about doing that

Yeah that's what I did. The supervisor I sope with also told me something interesting...I was inquiring at what point they would send me a new device instead of the refurbs I'm having trouble with. Anyways, the supervisor informed me that with many new devices (especially those manufactured by samsung), they send out NEW devices as replacements instead of certified like new. He said they do this for a period of 60 days after the device has been released as they have to build up refurb stock. I asked him how I would be able to verify this as I had already gotten my phone replaced once and it came in the standard box that all refurbs come in without a battery or back cover. In addition, the replacement came with a sticker on it that said "certified like new", and the sticker behind the battery did not look the same as the one on the device I had purchased new. He stated there is no way to verify the device is new because it is labeled as a refurb when in fact it is actually new until a point of 60 days when they start sending out genuine refurbs, Is this true? Or was he just trying to get me off the phone? Any way to verify this? Like maybe a broken seal or something?
